"Last night's sunset trip was amazing. We walked through Varanasi's side streets to get to the cremation ghats on the riverbank. About 10 of them happening while we were there. Then on to a boat to see the priests perform their sunset ritual from the middle of the Ganges."

About this Website
The district website exists to promote Rotary and the work that we do to a wider audience as well as to serve the Rotarians of the district. Rotary International is a service organisation of 1.2 million members who want to improve the lives of people throughout the world.
Eradication of polio is Rotary's number one priority - and we're almost there. But we also promote world peace, alleviate hunger, reduce poverty and child mortality. Grand aims you may say, but with 1.2 million members, a seat at the United Nations and a truly apolitical and non-religious approach to all that we do, we can talk to the world's governments and be trusted, respected and encouraged.
