About this Website
The district website exists to promote Rotary and the work that we do to a wider audience as well as to serve the Rotarians of the district. Rotary International is a service organisation of 1.2 million members who want to improve the lives of people in their respective areas and globally.
Eradication of polio is Rotary's number one priority - and we're almost there. But we also promote world peace, alleviate hunger, reduce poverty and child mortality. Grand aims you may say, but with 1.2 million members, a seat at the United Nations and a truly apolitical and non-religious approach to all that we do, we can talk to the world's governments and be trusted, respected and encouraged.
I welcome comments, enquiries and requests for details of how you might join Rotary and invite you to email me.

Webmaster's update - 2nd July 2008
I have just finished setting up the new Club directory on the District website. Club secretaries can now log in again although the process is slightly different - choose Clubs > Club Login from the menu at the top of any page. Earlier this year, we re-organised the directory of Clubs to accommodate the newer Rotary Club Leadership Plan structure - it is more flexible than the previous system.
I am still working on updating bits of the District Officers' secure area. This is a bit more complex and requires more work so I'll hope to have this completed over the next few weeks.
If you have any problems, comments or questions, please contact me.
