Rotary Young Musician Competition
The Zone Finals are now set for the same 4 venues as last year.
- Selkirk : February 15th ( Selkirk High School )
- Currie Balerno : February 20th ( Heriot Watt University )
- Bathgate : February 21st ( St. John's Church )
- Annan : February 29th ( Annan Academy )
The number of clubs participating is not yet finalised but may well exceed the 32 which took part last year. The Grand Final on March 9th at Edinburgh Academy is now at the planning stage and the second meeting of the sub committee helping to run the event will be held next week on the 27th November with members from Portobello and Leith Clubs attending.
John Hardy would like to express his appreciation of all the work that is put in by the Rotarians who help to promote this worthwhile part of the Youth Opportunities Programme.
John Gray of Monklands has agreed to have his name put forward for the post of Young Musician Officer for 2008/09. RIBI finals are being planned for 2009.
