Rotary Young Photographer 2010 now covers Scotland

If you are a budding young photographer, Rotary International’s three Scottish Districts and Keep Scotland Beautiful invite you to get snapping for their Young Photographer Competition 2010. We are working together to make this the best environmental photographic competition for young people in Scotland, with some outstanding prizes.

The theme, ‘Are we waste aware?’ allows a broad interpretation, so judges will be looking for imagination and style, as well as technical merit, content and composition.

Keep Scotland Beautiful LogoDonna Niven, Programme Manager at Keep Scotland Beautiful, said, “Keep Scotland Beautiful is proud to be supporting the Rotary Young Photographer 2010 competition. This is the second year running we have been involved, and we were extremely impressed with the level of entrants in the 2009 competition.

It is great that the theme for both years focuses on our impact on the beautiful Scottish environment and hope that this will encourage more people to take pride in, and ownership of, the areas they live in.

We very much look forward to seeing the entries for the 2010 competition – so, get out there and get snapping!!”

The closing date is Thursday 1st April 2010.
